All it took was one play through of Skies of Arcadia Legends to fall head over heels in love with it. I never owned a Dreamcast or a gamecube during their prime and I was still caught under its spell. While other RPGs at the turn of the millennium were focused on dark, gritty stories that aimed to explore the psychology of their protagonists, the late Rie Kodama and her team sought to create something bright and refreshing. She saw the then contemporary gaming landscape for what it truly was: a fad. Here enlies a tale of three young friends, who all love each other dearly, exploring the world for what might be the last time in their lives. I can't express how joyful it is to have spent forty hours with them. When I look up at the sky, I don't see meaningless clusters of water vapour anymore. I see Arcadia. That's how powerful a fantasy is conveyed through these old bitmaps and wav files. Sure, it might not be perfect. The combat can be downright awful and certain dungeons are almost impossible to navigate with so many random encounters. But you don't spend time dwelling on such things when you admire a work. That's what makes you in love, right? It gives your adoration sincerity. To anyone who has ever held a stick and swung it around like a blade, to anyone who has ever worn an eye patch, imitated the Cornwall brogue of Robert newton or simply looked at the setting sun and imagined "what if...?" you owe it to yourself to play this game. As for you, GOG. Your job is straightforward. Convince SEGA to allow it to be sold again. I don't care if they just dump the ISO inside dolphin, bump up the resolution and call it a day, this game should be accessible. There is a generation of people, kids and former kids alike who would adore it if all it took was a computer, five dollars and a little bit of patience.

I love the original Dreamcast quality of the soundtrack but love the extra content of Skies of Arcadia Legends. If we were to get a PC port, I would love for the PC port to rectify the soundtrack quality of Legends, making the PC port the definitive way to play the game. Even if that might not be possible for the developers, releasing an official PC port would allow modders to have a chance to make that happen. Many feel that Skies of Arcadia is one of the best RPGs of all time and allowing access to this title through official means is paramount for preserving this classic RPG.
I played both versions (Dreamcast & Gamecube) and I loved every moment of both. I'd love for a PC playable version of this to become available through GoG. Fingers crossed that someday happens.

If we think of games that made ‘core’ memories, for many these would be ‘FFVII’ or ‘Ocarina of Time’. Those would be a core for me too, but way later. Back then, what I had was a Dreamcast, and the dream that it casted for me that I will never forget is to fly the Skies of Arcadia. I was happy to sail the seas again on the Gamecube. Would be a dream to have ot again, with the OST from Dreamcast, back.

Playing this as kid it opened up a world of exploration and adventure that modern games struggle to match. The art style, world building, and story are all super fun and I can't think of a game that more deserves preservation. If you like turn based RPGs then this is a hidden gem thats worth uncovering.
My favourite game of all time, not just a great story but fantastic gameplay and a brilliant setting. For any lovers of rpgs this is a must play. Pure nostalgia!

One of my favorite rpgs of all time. I played the original Dreamcast version first. When I heard a remaster was coming to Gamecube I immediately preordered it and bought a gamecube. The world is so rich, filled with that sense of exploration and memorable characters. Over the years I've amassed a collection of Skies of Arcadia merchandise and hope one day others can experience this epic high-flying rpg.

From the very title menu music you know this is something special, the game immediately throws you in and builds an amazing original world with quality writing and action that keeps a pace most other narratives only dream of.

A classic game, I hope it makes it in. Even if I played it much later, sadly despite owning a GameCube I just never spotted this wonderful game, I enjoyed it when I played it later on. The story may be simple, but its wholesome

Like the previous entries, Silent Hill 3 is a survival horror combining action-based combat and puzzle-solving, but is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments.
