Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (1993)

by Konami, Playtronic
Genres:Fighting
Themes:Action, Science fiction
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:This game's controls use a four-button scheme (two punches and two kicks, weak and strong). A particular feature is the possibility to use a super special attack. In order to achieve this, the player must fill a green bar under the life bar, by hitting their opponents. Once full, the player must press the two strong attack buttons simultaneously. There is also the option of enhancing the speed of the game, making the fights more intense but also more difficult to follow. In addition to the main and versus modes, there is a story mode in which the Turtles must rescue April O'Neil and Splinter from Karai's clutches. The Turtles must travel across the US in their Turtle Blimp, defeating other fighters and collecting information. Only the four of them can be playable whereas the other characters (as well as a turtle clone) are the opponents. There is no Mutagen Meter in story mode. There is also a watch mode, which features computer-controlled characters.Show more

This was the best TMNT fighting game of the 90s by far. The main TMNT Konami team made this master piece. Game play wise the absolute best among the three similar TMNT fighting games. I loved some TMNT characters cameos within the stages. Depending on region version, Channel 5 stage could be extended or not. Oddly the other TMNT: Tournament Fighters game to change the title over seas. You get a truly solid roster of characters. In all honestly the best looking turtles in that era. The audio as a whole virtually amazing stuff. The controls are easily the best it's not even an debate. I previously went over an friend's house. Sometimes after I played the Genesis counterpart game. He had the SNES TMNT: Tournament Fighters game playing on his SNES console. You get modes that are the most fleshed out in those fighting games. Personally my favorite mode is Tournament Mode. Simply because you can play as the rest of the characters. You can play as the bosses despite it's exclusive to versus mode. Which also includes unlocking their stages as well. The difficulty is what you expect from an 90s fighting game. The best spinoff TMNT game I ever played!!! You really felt the passion they had for the franchise. I could even argue this blows Power Rangers fighting games of that era away. You might even cry because it's so damn great!!!
I only played the SNES version on the Emulator! My favourite was the SEGA GENESIS version. As a Kid back in the day, this was what I had and played a lot! ARE THEY ALSO GOING TO BRING THE GENESIS VERSION ON GOG AS WELL AS THE NES VERSION? I had these two except for the SNES version because I never had the SNES!
Those games also need your vote!

True Crime: Streets of LA
True Crime: Streets of LATrue Crime: Streets of LA is a free-roaming driving and action game similar in concept to Grand Theft Auto III. The game's structure is mission-based; most of the missions are dictated by the story and initiate following a cutscene that advances it. Failing a mission still allows the player to continue playing through the chapter and undertake subsequent missions; in some cases this will lead to branching paths and optional missions. However, in order to complete the whole chapter the player must eventually succeed in all the main missions.
