I have screenshots somewhere of me in Worlds. Thirty years ago? Gray hair in mirror? Checks out. This place was so far ahead of its time. The visuals and animations were spectacular and could run on minimal specs. Moving escalators, hidden passageways, themed rooms, crazy ideas everywhere; it was a visual feast. It was loaded with people from all over the world, no mods, no censors, no rules, all awesome. I made friends back then that I still have to this day. Back when the internet was a baby and we were busy visiting each other's homepages, we genuinely formed a group of nut balls that hung out in the space area that joked night after night. We even vacationed together for years, all through my 20s, into my 30s. Anyway, cool to see this nominated and of course I'd love be on, but it's a multiplayer thing so I'm not sure how GoG fits in with this particular game, and I'm a huge fan.

The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
