I've had Baldur's Gate 1 for a couple years now, and I've never experienced any technical issues until now. For some reason over the past month or so, the game has been suffering from unbearable slowdown, to the point where its PowerPoint levels of choppy. I think it might have something to do with my current laptop. My laptop is an Inspiron 15 with an AMD Radeon Graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 5 processors. I have no mods installed either, so this is just the vanilla game. I've tried setting the Compatibility mode to various previous OSes and I've tried setting my core affinity for the game to run on a single core, but no matter what I do the game runs like crap. And it's annoying because it didn't use to run so poorly on this machine and there's no good reason why it should be running this badly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
