Help My Baldurs Gate Ènhanced Edition Party are stuck, right at the beginning. They respond to commands but don't move They are piled up as one entity. I want them to folllow me up the stairs . But they don't budge. They only talk. How can I get them to follow me. Is this a Bug? I'm new to this game!

jsidhu762: Select the group and press the stop button. Then select a party member and tell him or her to move somewhere. Keep doing that until there is some distance between all of them. Now select them all and click on where you want to go.

Edit: when you are spacing your party out, click on the portrait on the side instead of clicking on the model on the screen.
Thank you very much, @jsidhu762 I'll try this later today. I'm delighted to get moving with the game. Bye!

UPDATE!!!
I've pressed the [F3. Stop] button after selecting them all. Then individually ask them to follow me, but they are stuck. Really stuck as one entity. The try to move, but something is preventing them from moving, a bug maybe!?! Thanks for the help anyway. I'll try a New Game again. Hope it works this time.

jsidhu762: I believe something was lost in translation, and I apologize for that. Select your group, and then press stop. We are going to forget about where your destination is for the moment. Click on the portrait of one of your party members. Now click on a spot that is a few meters away from everyone else. Rinse and repeat until you get something that looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/Rmayvm2

Now select all of your party members, and click on where you want to go.
Here you can see an overview, with some dialog too. they just won't budge. Sorry for my noobiness!

Enable cheats in your game. CLOSE THE GAME FIRST:
In baldur.lua insert under 'Program Options'
SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')

In-game press CTRL+SPACE
Type:
C:EnableCheatKeys()

Select any or all of your party. Hold your mouse where you want to move them. Press CTRL+J.

This is a bug with the EE, happens if you start the tutorial with a custom party with several companions. This tutorial section was originally from BG2 and was reproduced in BGEE. Vanilla BG doesn't have this section, and in vanilla BG2 you can't create a custom party for the tutorial. I guess they didn't play test this section with a custom party, if they did play test it at all.

If you just use the console (CTRL + Space) you can teleport the companions to another area then teleport them back, that would unstuck them.

Most likely a bug. I took the tedious path creating a custom party right from the start, at tutorial. I should have known better. New to the game. Thanks!

Good idea. I don't mind cheating. Thanks!

jsidhu762: This happened to me innumerable times and I didn't use a custom party.
Thanks for helping. This is why game forums, most probably, were invented!?! :)
Thank you all. I'd consider my problem solved. Enabling Cheats, plus [CTRL+J] in-game solution did the trick: https://imgur.com/GXN1nL9

Again, thanks!
