Hi All

does anyone know if you have to keep all those big/huge Patches in case you need to reinstall the game?
or is the latest patch the only one which makes the older ones obsolete

i am just asking because my DL is very slow and my HD not so big to keep all those 150gb patches as backup
1. The installers belong on your external backup drives, not on the harddisk of your computer.

2. If you have version X you obviously only need successor patches, not predecessor patches, to reinstall the game.

3. So for example if you have downloaded the current 8.0 then you will need the future patches 8.0 -> 8.1, 8.1 -> 8.2 etc, as they may occur, until you decide to download a new full version.

4. Obviously installation is faster if you just have the version you want as full installation and dont need to also install patches.

5. There is no patch 7.3 -> 8.0, so you need to download the full game if you want 8.0. You could also wait a bit until 8.1, 8.2 etc would be out.

My method at this point is to ignore the patches unless they are small. I keep a complete installer for the version I run. And delete anything older provided the current installed version runs ok. GOG is becoming increasingly haphazard in their support for offline files. There are many missing patches from the sequence anyway.
