Is this the correct procedure?
1) Disable user account control (requires reboot)
2) Run game setup as administrator and in compatibility mode for XP.
3) Change install directory to something other than program files
4) Execute install
5) Once game installed, run the BGConfig as administrator and in compatibility mode for XP
6) Start game as administrator and in compatibility mode for XP
7) Ensure game settings let you play in the game and save
8) Next, run mod install as administrator and in compatibility mode for XP. Install to game directory
9) Once mod installed, run game again (in compatibility mode and as administrator) and ensure that it works
10) Repeat steps 8 and 9 for each mod
Is this correct? I finally got the game working properly, but it is installed in my programs directory, so I'll be needing to reinstall. Just want to make sure I'm getting it right. I'm looking to install the Fixpack mod, the Widescreen mod, and any mods to improve graphics or spell effects.
