I purchased and downloaded BG2 on GoG. The installed version in game shows 2526498 not the latest version, 26498. However there is a readme for 26498 in the game's dir. I've tried patching with the 26498 patch but that does nothing. I can't install the BiG World mod as it requires the latest patch. Anyone else see this issue? Can anyone check what their fresh install is showing (once you've started/loaded a game goto options menu to see version number up top)? Has anyone installed BiG World using the GoG version of BG2?

GOG's version is the latest: 2.5.26498. Not sure why it's not compatible with the mod.

Intresting, is the fixes from here are compactible with gog version. Can anybody tell?

Hmm, I feel both dumb and confused. I think I'm going to try and install the mods one by one. Not sure why the installer doesn't agree with this. It also couldn't find /data/movies/25movies.bif but that was an easy fix of copying that file to /CD5/movies/25moves.bif.

Well GOG game exe's have been modified (CD checks and DRM removed) so it's possible that if program tries to refer or modify something in the exe it may not find the stuff it's looking for in places program expects them to be. Widescreen mod needed to be modified to work with GOG BG1 executable I believe due to this (or was it PS:T?).

That Might be it, I was able to install the mods one at a time just fine. I have it running and so far seems to be working just fine. Thanks for the help guys.
