ghstflame: I followed all of GoJays installation instructions, however I skipped a majority of the optional stuff as this is my first time through.

Menus run just great
The game is so delayed is nearly unplayable. However, if you leave the game to go to inventory screens etc, it's back to being smooth.

I am running administrator mode, I have attempted to disable 3d acceleration, but I am unsure if I succeeded. The graphics are on board intel graphics in my Asus Transformer t100 windows 8.1 machine. I also turned on compatibility mode with xp service pack 2. I have also been careful to change only 1 setting at a time, and so far nothing is helping.

What other options are there out there to try?

Tallima: Definitely make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. The Windows 8 to 8.1 shift changed a lot of 2D DirectX stuff, so you want to make sure everything is updated. And if you haven't installed DirectX 9.0c, be sure to do that.

Also, if you're up to date on your driver, some people have luck rolling back to a pre-Windows 8.1 driver. You could try that.

Those are all of my ideas.
