Not expecting much either, besides some decent or even great looking vistas/sequences like the sinking of Numenor.Breja: I actually knew about the Hobbit one already, and there's another one... sort of. A prologue for an unfinished Russian animated Hobbit. And this one actually looks like it had some potential.
And if we leave Russia for a moment, there's a Finnish tv series that adapts The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It had basically zero budget, but I think it actually builds a unique mood very well, and the actor playing Gandalf is really great. I love McKellen's Gandalf, but this guy is almost giving him a run for his money.
Probably just me but Finnish Gandalf is eerily reminiscent of an older, greyed-up version of Richard Armitage's Thorin Oakenshield(?).
