Plasticine879: I'm not trying to embarrass anyone or lecture. But I don't want anyone to get hurt. Don't listen to the Tik Tok trends or pop psychology, it's a bunch of garbage. Be smart about your health.
matterbandit: No need to worry about me, my friend. I love food and cooking waaaaaaaaaaay too much to succomb to starvation, believe me! LOL! ;) I do not suffer from any eating disorder, nor am I preaching or encouraging others to embark on a fast. Also, I'm fatally allergic to Tik Tok. :P This thread is not about me trying to sell fasting to the world. This is about me and part of my personal quest for March, between once to three times per week, and
never more than 16 hours at a time (that is why it is called intermittant fasting). And, yes, I've consulted my doctor and he's okay with me doing this for a couple of weeks. ;) As I tend to overeat crap during the winter season, I'm only doing this to help jolt my body into shape and to feel fit for the arrival of Spring.
Honestly, I appreciate your concern. But I do feel like you are misinterpreting who I am and what I am doing. xD Nonetheless, your words of warning are very, very wise and I'm glad you've brought up your personal experiences, as it may encourage people to seek medical advice prior to embarking on a fad. ;) Like you said, nothing beats a healthy balanced diet.
Good to know. Sorry about any misunderstanding and didn't mean to preach. Just a personal thing for me. Good luck in your resolutions! :)
