Plasticine879: I'm not trying to embarrass anyone or lecture. But I don't want anyone to get hurt. Don't listen to the Tik Tok trends or pop psychology, it's a bunch of garbage. Be smart about your health.

matterbandit: No need to worry about me, my friend. I love food and cooking waaaaaaaaaaay too much to succomb to starvation, believe me! LOL! ;) I do not suffer from any eating disorder, nor am I preaching or encouraging others to embark on a fast. Also, I'm fatally allergic to Tik Tok. :P This thread is not about me trying to sell fasting to the world. This is about me and part of my personal quest for March, between once to three times per week, and never more than 16 hours at a time (that is why it is called intermittant fasting). And, yes, I've consulted my doctor and he's okay with me doing this for a couple of weeks. ;) As I tend to overeat crap during the winter season, I'm only doing this to help jolt my body into shape and to feel fit for the arrival of Spring.

Honestly, I appreciate your concern. But I do feel like you are misinterpreting who I am and what I am doing. xD Nonetheless, your words of warning are very, very wise and I'm glad you've brought up your personal experiences, as it may encourage people to seek medical advice prior to embarking on a fad. ;) Like you said, nothing beats a healthy balanced diet.
Good to know. Sorry about any misunderstanding and didn't mean to preach. Just a personal thing for me. Good luck in your resolutions! :)

No worries. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being misunderstood, is all. The personal points you made are very valid and I can see that there are some important lessons to learn from the personal experiences you've shared. ;)

Thanks for wishing me good luck on my quests for March! I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm lagging a bit behind... again... LOL!

matterbandit: Suddenly, I prefer the sound of "quests" rather than "resolutions". xD
Can't imagine why! ;-)
With the prices of everything constantly going up instead of down and with no sale in sight since the last two months, I bit the bullet and purchased two external hard drives at full price. Sucks for my wallet, but I gained a completed quest for March. xD Should receive my purchases in a couple of days.

Also, much to my surprise, I stuck with my fasting goals for March. Glad that's behind me, to be honest. If anything, the fasting really helped tame my inner cookie monster. :P Hope it remains docile for the months ahead.

Two out of four quests completed is better than nothing at all. I know that there's still one more day to go before March rides into the sunset, but I'm being real with myself here. xD As for failing the reading quest (again!), I am ashamed. I can't fault myself for not finishing the backing up data quest, not while I wait for my drives to arrive in the mail, but I should have put in more effort to read this month, since I already had a book on hand. :( Worse still: yesterday I bought three more books at a thrift store! ROFL! There must be something terribly wrong with my head. ;)

Edit: Time for us to enter the wormhole and warp ourselves into the universe that is April.
