Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!

phaolo: Cool, I like the changes so far!
There are new interesting features. : )

Some comments or problems:
- no mass tagging is possible. Can you add a selection column?
- can you add different filters for sent\received gifts?
- my sent gifts are shown as (PAID WITH Free Order), but I bought them instead!
- search field should be in the header bar for easy access.
- the list counter seems still a bit slow. Can you add an option\button to enable\disable it on the fly?
- add a "total spent" counter too?
- what is the blue dot in the game list? Filter for it?
- the community menu needs submenus to directly access the wishlists\subforum sections.
The blue dot indicates that the game was updated :)

JudasIscariot: The blue dot indicates that the game was updated :)

phaolo: Ah, I see, thanks Judas.
It's also used for when you have a new game on your shelf :) So it's basically the NEW/UPDATED indicator :)

ALH: "Accessible game changelogs"

Anybody know how?
Go to a game, click "More" and you'll see a "Changelog" menu choice if a given game has one :)

If you have Broken Age or Shadow Warrior 2013, you should see an example :)

Zolyx: Awesome, this is indeed a very nice change - but could you please adjust the formatting a little bit so that line breaks are preserved when you're viewing the changelog?
Yeah, we're still working out the kinks on that one :) Duly noted, though :)

MasodikTiasma: Changelogs don't appear in Galaxy, though, only in the browser verion of the library.
They'll be there soon enough :) Give it time, please :)

HypersomniacLive: Does this blue dot indicated what exactly got updated?
Will updates still be reflected on the Account tab?
No, but that's why we have the changelog feature for developer updates to games and our own updates such as whenever we add a bonus item or two to a given game :)

>Will updates still be reflected on the Account tab?

Are you referring to the number of updates?

deonast: That's odd I have Shadow Warrior 2013 and no Changelog under the more menu that I can find.
Wait a few minutes, then, a changelog for the DirectX 9.0c and the DirectX 11 version will be showing up soon :)

HypersomniacLive: What about those games that won't get a changelog? Chamb made it clear that only the most popular and newer games will have changelogs.

HypersomniacLive: Yes.
If we have a changelog, we'll add one as it's rather rare that we don't get one, thankfully. If we update the installers for whatever reason and we flag your account then we'll add in a changelog of sorts as well, if it's not a minor installer update (images or changes to installers overall such as adding Galaxy-import capability as we've been doing so for the last few days or so.)

Any updates to bonus items will also be listed in the changelog along with a date they were added.

So far I am seeing something like this:

"My Collection (897, 92 updated)" in My Account. Basically, you see your game count and you see how many games were updated

HypersomniacLive: I'm asking about the account tab on he nave bar, not inside my account.
That should still be working as it was before. Unfortunately, I don't have any game updates atm to show you that it does.

Lodium: Help, i cant find my gifts annywhere.
or at least cant locate where they are
on this new account system.
Go to Orders & Settings :)

It might take a while for it to show up but you can see it when you browse your account through a regular browser and not GOG Galaxy :) See my attachment :)

IAmSinistar: Have only taken a quick tour of it so far, but my impressions are generally favourable. The Orders list is especially useful, with the ability to view the purchase details and to filter down to unredeemed gifts.

The game box Shelves aren't as charming as they used to be. They load faster, but at the cost of having to navigate through multiple pages. The download portion of each box is okay, though the background art is somewhat superfluous. Seems like this is the anticipated deathknell for GOG Downloader, though.

Probably the change I like the least is Chat, where it's not obvious to me yet how to add paragraph breaks to a message. The enter key just sends what you've written in the box.
Shift+Enter :P

cyboff: How come you have two versions of Shadow Warrior (2013) and not me? (on Win 8.1 64bit) ;)
Refresh your account, perhaps? :)

coffeecup: Is there a way to see my current store credit?

I did not find it in the new account system, but it would be neat to see it on the account & locale page and / or in the order history, even it is Zero.
Click Account -> Orders & Settings and then you should see all the store credit you have and in whatever supported currency you have it in :)
avatar
mvscot: What's with this meaningless stuff about friend requests with no associated message?

I'd like to know why someone wanted me as their friend, and I'd also like the chance when I decline to say it's not them, it's me (I don't want any friends!).

Currently it all just seems so rude.
Click Account -> Friends and then do what you will :)
