Do any of you guys know the difference between this:
https://www.amazon.com/Generation-41-Disc-Complete-Seasons-Bundle/dp/B00NQXC2YU/

and this:
https://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Generation-Complete-Blu-ray/dp/B01BP06ENA/

They seem to be the same thing, yet for some reason one is more expensive than the other.
One of them appears to be a fancy overpriced collectors box, and the other appears to be a fancy overpriced collectors box.
I have no definitive answer, but from the Editorial Review, the first one appears to be the release for UK. Probably different distributors released the same package in their distribution controlled areas.

As a long time Star Trek fan, I can only really say the difference between the two appears to be price. It's possible there's a difference in special features that are available. Perhaps it's for the discerning buyer who prefers blue to green?

Either way, I do not believe Star Trek Will be removed from most online streaming services. If CBS decides that their service will be the only one to have Star Trek, they'll lose not only a ton of cash by licensing it out to others, but probably tons in legal fees due to how many people would rather out right pirate it.
I can say you for sure that the greenish-box version has been released for the European market. It is, in fact, the same version (in its Italian variant) I've got here on my desk ready to be played on my Blu-ray drive...

Like happened to Voyager and UPN.
The first box is one that I have. it looks great and is cheaper. Buy that one.

There is absolutely no difference in video, audio, or special feature content between the 2 box-sets. The first one is from the UK and is region-free (will play on any BD player) while the other is from the USA and is region A restricted (will only play on BD players from North America & South America). Since the UK version is region free and cheaper, it would make sense to get that one over the other.

edit: also, don't buy the UK version from the US Amazon site. It's much cheaper getting it directly from the UK Amazon site.
