It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I wonder if anyone is having a problem with the gog client download? It is saying that I have to go to the download it manual but it does not work at all..
EDIT: I read the thread title again - try to restart the computer first.

If you still have version 2.0.55.99, stick with it. Past that, GalaxyClientService.exe crashes constantly and staff won't even acknowledge the problem.

To stop update checks, start File Explorer while GOG Galaxy isn't running, go to %AllUsersProfile%\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists\ in the address bar and then rename GalaxyUpdater.exe to something like GalaxyUpdater.exe-disabled.
So basically, don't bother using Galaxy, and come join the rest of us in the clientless future.

Even better advice would be to stick with version 1.2, which is much better and less bloated than any 2.0 or later version is.
I had to download the standalone installer and relog, because even when ending the galaxy task, parts of the files would still remain locked.
After relogging (restarting works as well), everything worked as it should.
Thanks for the answers.. I have restart my computer but everytime it restart it crashes but then I got logged in so the client work in that sense..
