So I've got a bit of a TV issue right now. I've got a Fluid brand 32' TV that's not working. So I haven't been home in a year and I think it's been turned on once and while during that time. Right now it's plugged into a powerbar that works (it's charging my laptop and my PS3 turns on) and there's a red light on my TV, standby mode. However when I hit the power button on the TV nothing happens, same as when I use the remote.

I've tried unplugging it from the back and plugging it back in but nothin. When I reconnect it to power it sounds like it's going to turn on than turn off, but it's always done that. Any ideas what to do? Thanks.
A little bump because it's an annoying issue

Hmmmm..... Unplug it from the power bar and plug it to the main outlet by itself then turn it on and wait a minute and see what happens..... After that let me know.
Okay, done.
Stupid question but you don't have any cable or satellite hooked up do you?

Nope, what was hooked up was HDMI and my Wii/PS2. I've since unplugged those.
There should be a reset button somewhere on the tv or a combination of buttons you have to press. Search that TV's model number.

I'm inclined to go with this. Seems you're getting power, but a "reset" in the form of a one or several buttons is in order. Also, how long are you leaving the TV unplugged? Sometimes you need to leave it without power long enough for the capacitors to completely drain of their power.
Maybe it's so "smart" that without something hooked up to it,it won't start.

So I tried every combination of buttons for 10 seconds and nothing. There's no reset switch anywhere and I looked in the manual for what to do... it was not helpful...

I'm leaving it unplugged for about 15 minutes give or take.
Someone sold your tv and replaced it with a cardboard box that has a red led at the front!!

hehehehe,,, sorry,, next thing to try is leaving it unplugged overnight.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to suggest something pretty crazy.... put it in your car and take it for a drive around the block, and back home again. Its the vibrations and or the shifting gravity etc....

I discovered this can actually work sometimes.... like when i returned a computer back to the store because it doesn't work, but then it does work when i got there!!!! you know, just to make me look stupid! lol
