Is this normal? Just bought BoB and the Lich's maiden at his throne is pixellated. Progressed about 5 minutes into the story, and Lena (first bondmaid) is also pixellated. I feel cheated. What's the point of this game if there is pixellation and censorship?

Many/most - but not all - VNs that originate in Japan are censored/pixelated like that.

Unfortunately, you need to research each game individually in order to find out whether it has been censored like that or not.

And doing such research is very difficult, because stores like GOG generally are not forthcoming and honest with consumers about when such censorship has occurred.

Such censorship should be clearly marked on every store page of every game that sells such games. But unfortunately, it is not.

they apparently have a DLC to uncensor it
