For the few C&C fans here, the second-longest running Command & Conquer community site (since October 1997) is shutting down in the coming days.

UPDATE FOR THE LAZY-TO-SCROLL: The site has been saved by returning administrator Zee Hypnotist (if you remember our C&C Legos video series, he's the author!)

woah while i was not part of it damn that was a long running C&C community! Sad to see it buried as the games by EA
Why doesn't he pass the domain to someone else?
Btw, sites focused on specific games\series are always destined to disappear.
We'd need a generic one hosting many communities.
(I don't know if it already exists. Reddit is crap as a real forum and stores are a bad place for preservation)

I have been expecting this for a while now, the writing was kind of on the wall.
With CNCNZ semi just kinda shut down and with EA doing fuck all with the franchise, doubly so now that they have the "all-the-money-in-the-world-generator" known as Star Wars.

I am not surprised, but I am saddened. give sonic my condolences.
This is how the CNC franchise dies, moldy and damp, slowly succumbing to time.

Lines are hot about migration/salvage etc., but no word from Sonic as of yet.

We did try to stay afloat with things like Music Mondays and Throwback Thursdays, the forums were semi-active and were home to Tiberium Wars/Kane's Wrath modders after the official C&C forums shut down.
News from Sonic, the webmaster:
Hey guys. Firstly thanks for your support. It was difficult for me to write that post. The reality is I can't afford to pay for the hosting any more. I have more bills and rent that must come fist.

With that said. I have read all the replies here and many PMs. I'm very sleepy as I reply to this. So give me chance to sleep on it. Someone else taking over the hosting seems to be the best option if you want the site to live on.

The French-speaking CnCSaga.com (currently down due to server change).
The site has been taken over by an ex-staff member and friend, Zee Hypnotist (if you remember our C&C Legos series, he's the author!).

Well there's a call back. I used to use that site a very very long time ago. I hope it stays up.
Sad news. This means that Unofficial patches are done for, too?

You missed the post where it was saved by a returning staff member. The site will resume operations.
