damn this looks amazing!
Yes
DANGEN is churning out one little gem after another.
Promotional banner by Ryūsuke Mita? Yes, this is a big plus.
N8 style is a second big plus.
But in the list of the supported platforms Windows 10 only...
This game actually look like a proper 16 bit game without making it too obnoxious. And the gameplay actually looking good. Now this is proper pixelated game, not the crappy stacked squares!
It's too about Dangen and Devil Engine though.
e: never mind, Dangen are out of the problem now.

For a 16-bit games it has too few colors ;)
But I agree, it looks good.
Looks interesting, but the trailer music is a major turn-off to me; a game with this sort of music is a game that I can't play for significant amounts of time.
Looks neat. The art style almost is very early Final Fantasy.

Yeah, but sometimes some 16 bit games like Primal Fight and Weaponlord look like it has very limited color palette. Maybe because they want to emulate darker, grittier theme.
This looks more like 8-bit to me, maybe playing a little loose with the palette.

Yes this the kind of music VNs use in their trailers for some reason, it is very grating. But check out videos of the beta, it has typical 8-bit music.

This game looks to be a cross between an NES Castlevania and The Lost Vikings (switching between 3 characters).

Thing is, the trailer is often what I watch first when a game I haven't heard of shows up on GOG, so it's what leaves the first impression, and the choice of music for the trailer left a negative one for me.

I have no trouble with listening to 8-bit music, but I can't listen to electric guitar without getting a headache.
Characters drawn by the artist of Dragon Half? No wonder it appeared familiar. I wish Gog would give me reason to stop boycotting them, so I could buy this game here.

Backgrounds and overall ambience surely feel like Castlevania, but the main characters' sprites and animations make me think of Mega Man 2.

But you're right it appears more 8-bit to me too.

Between some of the screenshots, trailer music, and theme it looks like a lo-fi Ys Origin inspired game.
