A game of pawns.

UPDATE: Who's warm for some Cold War espionage? Phantom Doctrine now has an official release date, so mark your calendars (but in code, so the enemy won't know): it's out August 14th!

Phantom Doctrine is coming soon to GOG.com.
A turn-based conspiracy thriller from the creators of Hard West, set during an alternate history Cold War. Operating from the shadows, you organize, recruit, deceive and infiltrate, leading The Cabal against those dark forces who are plotting to control the world.

Ewetch: Hard West was quite decent, going to keep an eye on this.

Also, isn't that the same actress from this year's legendary Devolver Digital E3 "press conference"?
I think it is, that alone makes me want to buy the game.
The REAL graphics are a nice touch. I wanna see the end product tho.
Looks interesting. Wishlisted for now,
I like the atmosphere, but I'm wary of the random generator.
Done right, this could be a delicious mix of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, Clue, Evil Genius and Fallout.
I would need to see some real gameplay before I can make up my mind on this.
Hard west was fun, tagging this for the wishlist to watch further developments.
Look interesting, but hopefully there will be more information soon.

Yep, her name is Mahria Zook.
Pretty cool teaser. Thought the acting was good (and the overall scene).

I love turn-based "infiltration" games (looking at you, Invisible Inc <g>); and so will keep an eye out for this one when t releases.

The "map overview" screenshot reminds me of Crookz - The Big Heist, which is in my lib but I haven't had a chance to play yet.

So.. looking forward to it and hope it's cool.
Nice trailer.
Made me want to see the film though, not play a game.

Having said that, and having now visited the game page, the screenshots look good as well.
Keeping an eye on this one.

And also, please finish that film. I want to see what happens next, and what happened before.
Awwww man, I don't want to wait until 2018! Game looks amazing by the way.

Sort of X-Com meets Shadow Watch and a bit of that old Sid Covert (Action?) something game mixed in (I always wanted to pick it up because the gameplay sounds fantastic but it's aged just a bit much for me - hopefully the "case solving" aspects of this scratch that itch). Anyway, can't wait for it.

I still have to fire up Hard West. I picked it up but I've been saving it as a "big game" to play when I'm in a gaming rut. I like to keep something I know I'll enjoy and that's nice and satisfying / meaty a game. The downside - sometimes I put off playing a game I'm REALLY interested in LOL.
How Romaaaaannnnntttiic....

Grargar: Paging F4LL0UT...
And here I am. I actually just got back from Cologne where I had the privilege of being one of the guys representing the game at Gamescom and demonstrating it to the press (which was an utterly amazing, if really exhausting, experience). So yes, I am still with the company, and I've been on this project all along. I'm really happy that it has finally been shown to the world and the feedback I've seen so far was very positive which makes me very proud.

I'm just one of many people working on this pretty huge game and still just a design grunt so I can basically only repeat what has already been disclosed to the press. I will check with the big guys what stuff I am allowed to say publicly but don't expect me to reveal any facts you can't read about in news articles, that's simply not my job nor do I have that kind of authority. I will keep an eye out for useful feedback, though.

What I surely can say, though, and with all honesty, is that I'm really thrilled by what we have thus far and have no doubts that Phantom Doctrine will be a huge step up from Hard West. And we really care about the feedback we got for the latter, I'm sure that you guys will appreciate all the refinements and unique features you will find in Phantom Doctrine. Cheers!

You should get yourself a gold-text account.

Just for the bling.

I'm pretty sure that there's more than one person at our company who would slap me silly if I made my posts appear like official statements by CreativeForge Games. Plus, imagine the confusion if my posts popped up orange in threads unrelated to our games, especially in announcement and release threads of games by other developers.

F4LL0UT:
Awesome to see this! SUPER excited for this game - I've been stalking your (well, not "your," your company's) Facebook page waiting for a release date - is it still looking like "Summer" ? Next month please??? ;)

Totally not going to watch the stream though. I know I'm in, and I don't really like to "spoil" a game's mechanics if I already know the gist and it sounds like something I'd like.

Kinda glad again?

Anyway, hope many of you guys are gonna tune in.
