My GOG just had a hiccup, where it automatically switched to German, instead of my preferred English setting.

Due to this hiccup, I experienced the differences in news posts on the two main pages.

The Germans lag behind.

Same for French news, and I guess most (if not all) non-English news.

It could have been worse... check the Russian storefront

Check the Chinese store...

We are all created equal, it's just that some of us are created more equal than others.
As I cannot find the book right now, it was freely from my memory from reading it some thirty years ago.

That's why GOG has to detect user's language by browser's locale, not by IP address.
