I got an email telling me Thea is 50% off and therefore £7.49. However when I go to the checkout it’s charging me £8.26. It is currently £7.49 on Steam as well so I assume that is the correct price?

It's 50% off for me on the checkout page. If it persists, you should contact GOG Support.

Are you sure you didn't set accidentally the price to USD and it shows $8.26?

You’re half right. I’d forgotten the price should be in your local currency before going to PayPal. Somehow my currency had been changed to dollars and so PayPal was converting it at a different rate. It’s correct now. Thanks!
Ah, Paypal's conversions are horrible. I always disable them as my bank (well actually Visa) offers me a much better rate.
