I would love to purchase and play this game but I have a few questions regarding this particular system requirement:
NOTE: Requires NVIDIA drivers 337.88 or OLDER to work properly on NVIDIA cards
So how does one go about this? What are my options and what’s the easy and/or recommended approach for a non-tech savvy user?

Should I simply force the game to run on the integrated graphics card instead?

Relevant specifications:
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
&
NVIDIA GeForce 610M (Current driver version 354.35)

Sometimes these notes are not all-inclusive. However, in this case, since we're talking about a "good old game", you won't need to activate your Nvidia card to run it (even the HD 4000 is way overpowered for its needs).

My advice is: try running it on your Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and if you somehow have issues with that also try running it on your Nvidia card with your current drivers. It might work both ways, despite the warning.

If I had a nickel for each game I played on my integrated HD Graphics card when it was clearly stated on the game page that Intel cards were not supported, why I'd be getting a free lunch at least.

This usually just means that GOG ran into trouble with DK2 with a driver greater 337.88 and thus can only vouch for the game running with drivers up to that version.

However, such troubles can have a variety of reasons which are not (only) the driver's fault and can sometimes also be restricted to certain GPU models. GOG can not possibly try all combinations of hardware and drivers so they just guarantee what they are reasonably certain will work.

On top of that bugs in the driver also regularly get squashed as well, so the game not working with one (or a few) drivers after 337.88 does not mean it will not run on the latest driver. Again, GOG can't possibly test all their games for driver compatibility whenever a new version is released.

I just ran the game and played through the first mission on a GTX 1060 using the latest driver (382.53) and found no problems.

Having gamed on Intel graphics exclusively for years, I can confirm. That is so true.

Woo-hoo, I knew it was a silly question! I just got nervous reading that part.

Thanks for the advice. :) I'll give it a shot.

I see... so what you're saying is that GOG owes you a free lunch? ;)
