European Speedrunner Assembly (ESA) is a gaming marathon for charity based in Sweden, featuring live speedruns until July 29th. All donations will go to Save the Children.

The ESA site is here: www.esamarathon.com
Watch the main stream via www.twitch.tv/esamarathon

Looking forward to a full week of live speedrunning goodness, enjoy!
Just a reminder that whatever you are doing right now, you could watch Europe's largest speedrunning event instead ;)

Lots of interesting runs coming up, Warcraft III, Turok, Bloodrayne (don't think I've seen this run before) and Arx Fatalis to name just a few. Check out the schedule and plan your week :)
Not as popular as Summer Games Done Quick, it seems. The fundraising is pretty pathetic in comparison. Might be fun to watch the Vice City run later this evening.

I believe in comparison to the GDQ events, ESA's focus is on the community aspect first and foremost, with the charity element attached. Seems more relaxed too, maybe also because of that. GDQ is a business now I've heard, which in turn provides them with the power to raise substantial amounts each time. Just different goals I guess. Great runs happening either way.
