When you've got over 100 games in your libraries, many of which have soundtracks (thanks, gog!), you might be inclined to listen to those soundtracks. I don't know about you, but I'm looking at the task of downloading all those files to put them in my player of choice (Google Music), and I'm like: "Screw this."

So yeah. A web based music player for all owned soundtracks would be hella nice. Anybody with me?
Your media player should support listening over the internet. However, we don't want GOG ruining anything further while developing this, so....pass.

And if your internet is off? Or gog site is down, or they choose not to let you access it....
Seeing how GOG has one of the worst development teams around, no thanks.
While it seems a nice idea to have this :
1. They are apparently struggling manage the site, forum and Galaxy developement.
2. Even steam's music player needs you to have downloaded the soundtrack (not cloud based).
3. I don't think this "optional" method of listening to soundtracks is a good idea given the current trend of things. Who knows what "have you noticed" will be waiting at the corner.
Yeah... remember when Gog sold movies?

I don't think complicating things by adding music players is really a good idea..

In steam it's just a minimal music player that launches from the client, is similarly themed and plays soundtrack downloaded from steam. Very basic. I hardly ever use it. Playing music on a powerful player like foobar2000 is much better.
The first thing I do when I start a game is turn off the music (with the exception of Diablo 2 and Carmageddon 2).

I don't need to listen to that stuff when I'm not playing. :P
I don't think GOG is the place to try and listen to your music.

See, what I use is Foobar2000. I've been using it ever since Winamp became obsolete.

Then you just install some components.

And point Foobar at the music you want to play, and voila!

For formats too obscure for Foobar, there's always VLC.

More Movies on GOG would have been really good though.
But it probably won't happen. So buying DVDs is there.
My dreams... crushed...

But yeah, sensible arguments, I guess.

Oh, and in addition, the soundtracks here typically come in zip files. For your idea to work, they probably have to unbundle the whole zip files into individual MP3s to get a Soundcloud like implementation. I think it might be cumbersome in general. Speaking of ZIP files, the old 4.x Free Download Manager supports downloading only parts of a ZIP file. That could help you get one or two tracks you're interested in one at a time if you fancy (since streaming is typically like that)
