It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

As the topic header said, GOG Galaxy is still not updating even though they said they fixed the issue in the patch notes.

Now you can update via following the link then redowloading Galaxy, but when you do you wipe your installed games list and have to download them all over again.

I refuse to have to redownload all of my games again because they cant fix their software, no more updating until this is realy fixed.

There's no reason to reinstall your games.
Galaxy is just a launcher that launches your installed games.
How do you think you get the fix to your computer?
Right: through an update, which does not work with the version you have installed.
They don't refuse to fixe the software, they already fixed it, but you need to install the fix.

Solution
Right after Windwos start (do not start Galaxy before that), download and run the Galaxy installer from the website.
The next version should update normally again,

And no, you don't need to reinstall anything. You just run the installer and replace the old one, that's it.
Installed games are also independent from the Galaxy installation, this is neither Steam, Ubisoft Launcher nor is it the EA App (although I think the EA App would recognize installed games).

Wildman_1: As the topic header said, GOG Galaxy is still not updating even though they said they fixed the issue in the patch notes.
The issue is fixed in the current version. Download the full installer 2.0.60.2 for Windows or 2.0.60.2 for Mac and launch it while GOG Galaxy isn't running. After you manually update to this version, it should be able to update automatically from that point on.

Running the full installer for a newer version is just an update. If you want, you can back up these folders beforehand (on Windows):
%ProgramData%\GOG.com\Galaxy\
%LocalAppData%\GOG.com\Galaxy\

If you somehow lose your list of installed games, click the cogwheel in the top left, choose Add Games & Friends, then Scan Folders for GOG Games.

If the game files are in the same place Galaxy just finds them, you don't download anything again.

Agree this problem is annoying af though.
Everyone thanks for the input.

I do realize that my loaded games are still there, and that I just need to reload everything for Galaxy, but that can add up to several hours. Which is one of the points I was trying to make.

However:
I managed to get Galaxy to 2.0.60.2 without to much hasel, but Galaxy is still asking me to update. When I agree to it, it will not do so and gives me the same popup to go too the alternate and download Galaxy a new.

I did just that and when I run the installer it ends saying that I already have eiither the most current or newer version of the software.

(Now I did above to gain info, I did not delete anything then atempt a fresh install)

That's still wrong, no matter how often you repeat it. The installed games remain installed.

But you do have a serious problem with your installation ...
My guess is that you didn't install the new version into the same directory as the previous one and now are attempting to start the old one.
