I recently got a budget laptop, and I am wondering what games would be a good fit for it. Here are some considerations:
* The laptop specs are not impressive. The CPU is something like a (modern) Pentium or Celeron, none of this Core i(whatever) stuff, and there's no discrete GPU. Hence, games that are demanding of the CPU or GPU are out. It has 4GB of RAM, which is actually quite good for the price point. (Many other laptops at this price point, including the newer model of this one, have only 2GB.) I note that Morrowind does seem to run decently on this hardware (but see below for why that game is not suitable). It is a modern system, so games that require modern versions of OpenGL are likely to work if they aren't demanding.
* I only have 64GB of storage total, so no larger games; in fact, I would prefer to avoid games whose sizes are measured in gigabytes.
* Control issues: The laptop only has a keyboard (no numeric keyboard; it's a small laptop) and a trackpad with two buttons. Therefore, I need games that can be played with keyboard *or* mouse, with keyboard preferred. (It's OK if the mouse is needed occasionally, like in menus, as long as its use is not time-critical.) Games that require simultaneous use of both keyboard and mouse, like Morrowind, are out.
* I removed Windows from this laptop after I got it; therefore, games must work on Linux (specifically, Debian Stable). WINE is acceptable, provided it works on either of the versions found in Debian stable.
So, any suggestions for games that would be a good fit for this laptop?
(Maybe I might try Undertale?)
