IwubCheeze: This is an interesting idea just have a suggestion though.
When a game is assigned, should person keep a start and finish time when writing a short impression about the game? I really can't put my finger on why but it doesn't seem right to have a challenge like this without keeping a log of the time the game took to complete.
Also, some people have a backlog into the hundreds or even over 1000. What should these GOGers do?
Right now I already have 3 games in progress so I really can't participate at the moment but once I've cleared the games I want to play, I think I might join in :)
Well, it's just an idea, we don't need to be strict about it.
It's hard to state a time when you will finish it. Some of us play slower, others faster, depends on the game too. For example, i am playing Inquisitor right now. I can basically click on all text options in that specific game, go over them without reading all the stuff and got to finish the game faster. But i really enjoy reading all the things that characters have to say.
I don't want to see this as a challenge, but more as a club that can work based on gentleman's agreements, not by strict rules. I'll make a list from time to time of members with assigned games, so we will be able to keep track easier. Right now, i'm gonna help that goat to escape. Or do i have to catch her? I don't know!
Leroux: I understand, but people's tastes differ significantly. A sucker for strategy games and a passionate point-and-click adventure fan might suggest games to each other that they will actually end up hating and wasting their time with. ;)
Well, then you don't have to put all the games on your backlog, put just the ones that you think you'll have fun with. I personally found a lot of games that i had fun with, even if they are not in my usual interest as genre, so i'm pretty open about it.
PaterAlf: The normal levels aren't very hard. You should be able to complete the game in some hours. The bonus levels on the other hand are completely insane. They are among the hardest levels in puzzle-platform gaming that I've ever seen.
Well, i'm very bad at platformers in general. For example, i wasn't able to finish Super Meat Boy. But if they are more into puzzles and less into the reaction times, i'm ok with it.
LE: Ohhh... I see now. It's actually really nice game. More puzzles than timing jumps and crazy stuff. Or might be first levels. BAAAAA!
