Is anyone else experiencing very slow speed from GOG. both downloads and the website?

Australia here. and downloads don't wanna work at all.

No problems for me at all but I'm not in Australia. You can do a trace route to see where it start getting slow.

I'd say there has been a noticeable difference since the beginning of the sale. Typical of sales, should be back to normal once the load goes down.

thank you for the suggestion.

uncertain on what does that mean.

gog.com has 21 hops and 11 of them are over 150 ms with four over 300 ms. and it connects to los angeles and san jose.

steampowered.com for example only has 7 hops.

so can i conclude that gog australian servers are down? and it reroutes to USA?

cause before it would easily max out my speed connection.

The only change in speed that I've noticed was within the first hour of the Summer Sale going live, everyone (myself included) began scanning through the delecious discounts and started filling the shopping carts. Because of this I had a slight problem with my purchase (resolved within hours thanks to GOG).

So yeah, sales are probably slowing things...

I didn't try to download games, but with the website (buying, forum, chat) I didn't notice a difference in speed.

A few hours ago I was getting GOG bears too.

Downloading speed has also been really slow. Only 200 to 300 KB/s, instead of the normal speed (at least 1,5 MB/s for me).

Yes its really slow, only 60KB/s. Normally I would get 1,7 MB/s.

Trying to download Crysis for 7 hours now. The speed varies heavily, but is mostly at ~20-100 kB/s. I'm getting frustrated - luckily part 2 of my download crashed after 2,3 of 2,9GB.

Edit: Tried GoG Galaxy, starts loading at full speed. *confused*

Since in heavy load conditions there is higher probability of a corrupted downdoaded file in the end. I think it would be better to postpone any downloading attempts from GOG at the moment.

Download in Germany is still unusably slow. 7-8 hours for 4 GIG? Normally 40 minutes for me.

What happened to GOG's download servers? :(
