As a gamer dad I only get a few ours at the end of each day to unwind and game on... Its not ideal but family comes first. Recently I got Stardew Valley and instead of going crazy all night, I gifted it to my kiddio. I'm having more fun watching him play then I thought I would. The day he found out he could craft a road he jumped up and hugged me. (never thought roads were so awesome)

Growing up and finding a way to be a dad and a gamer can be challenging but also very rewarding. When you game with your kids you look at them differently, you use them as teaching tools and find new ways to play... My 3rd grader is figuring out damage ratios vs damage per second with elemental types and resistances... yeah thats pretty awesome!

it sounds geeky as hell but he passed his division test thanks to Diablo, that is absolutely amazing! When we chat we don't use voice chat and instead use chat boxes.. His typing has improved so much hes better then I am. Its stuff like that that makes being gamer dad no different then any other dad (except we have more wis and end, but we lack in str and int)

Anyways, Happy Father Day everyone, may your ping be low and your day be awesome!

You guys celebrate father's day today? In my country it's on the 19th of March.
Anyway, happy Father's Day to all GOG gamer Dads!

Some reason Mother's day falls on different days for US and UK. Didn't realise father's day is the same day though.

I shall join in on the forum hug and cheer for all us Gamer Dads.

Most of my GoG games are there because I think "Hey one of the kids will like this"

Eldest Daughter is a serious gamer, FPS nut though mainly console based.
Second Daughter loves point and clicks
Son used to have difficult reading, but double his efforts when he found out how many new games he could play if he could read.
2 youngest daughters love the Lego games, and octodad.

Thanks! Happy Father's day to you all as well. :) Here in Brazil we celebrate it in August, actually.

Anyway, my daughter is still too young to play, but I await anxiously for the day I'll be able to play something with her. ^_^
