Hello there! I was wondering if someone could tell me how the GOG summer sale works.
Is it like Steam and some games are only discounted for a brief time (AKA daily deals) while others keep the same discount throughout the whole thing or are the games currently discounted going to maintain their price tags until the end of the sale without any other deals taking place (again, daily deals, weekly, hourly, etc)?
Also, while luriking the forums here I noticed some folks talking about getting free games during previous sales and that caught my attention, seeing as I'm currently gaming on a (tight) budget, then I realized for this one we can get Rebel Space with our first purchase. Is that how the freebies usually work?
My apologies if this is a noob question, I'm somewhat new to GOG and this is my first summer sale here. Thanks for reading!

One of the blues (GOG staff) said the current games will stay for the entire sale, and they stay at the same price. Now, sometimes this changes and the odd game goes off sale, but it's rare.

And yeah, free games are often a part of it. They're running a story type promo on Twitter and it looks like there will be at least one more free game upcoming at some point. No word on what it may be though.

*edit* Oh, and welcome to GOG!

*edit 2* Here's the post in question: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_summer_sale_2017/post221

Mostly the games there will stay on sale for the duration. You may find that the 4 bundles that are there (the Our Favourite....) may change daily.

Anything that's on sale that does go away usually comes back at the end of the sale for the last 48 hours so you can pick up what you may have missed.

Sales here tend to work a bit different to Steam where once stuff is done if not popular enough it doesn't get featured in the encore at the end. Basically GOG treats their members fair and you get plenty chances to get what you are after :)
Thank you very much for the replies, folks! And thanks for the welcome, GR00T!
