Hello I was wondering how long or when Freelancer will be moved off the Dreamlist into reality. Anyone know?

As soon as the current rights holder (Microsoft, if I remember correctly?) hands over the keys to GoG for the re-release.

I'm ever hopeful to see it show up here, but M$ seems to be resistant to re-releasing old titles like Freelancer. I personally would be estatic if they ever did a re-release of the MechCommander games. Or any of the other Battletech universe games.

Underspace is a pretty good spiritual successor to Freelancer though. That is for sale here on GOG. It is still early access and does admittedly lack some of the polish of Freelancer. But it's still worth a look.

You've been here longer than me, you should know that the wishlist, or dreamlist, or whatever they choose to call it next, is nothing more than people wishing upon a star, there's no answer to be given more reliable than reading the future from a goat's entrails.

I'd hold out better chances for the LibreLancer project to bear fruit.
