If you give a promo code (e.g. unlocked games from sales) to someone, does GOG send a notification if that person redeem it? Or a option to see the status of given promo codes?

Check under https://www.gog.com/account/settings/orders, and select the tags for Redeemed and/or Unredeemed Gifts. Is that what you wanted?
Currently however it's mispelled Redemeed.

tfishell: Check under https://www.gog.com/account/settings/orders, and select the tags for Redeemed and/or Unredeemed Gifts. Is that what you wanted?
Currently however it's mispelled Redemeed.
It does not show free/promo games unless you redeem/unlock them for yourself.

Try to redeem the code
1,) It will say the code already used.
or
2.) It'll takes you to the "redeem page" where you can still cancel the process.
