For example, say the code redeemer hacked someone's else's GOG account after the owner of the account had purchased a gift code, but before the time when the account owner had distributed that gift code to its intended recipient, and then the hacker redeemed that gift code on a GOG account that they created.
That would be an example of an illegal redemption of a GOG code.
i'll give you a more likely example;
user 1 lives in a country that bans a certain game, lets say Australia and GirlsXXX
gog sends this user an email with a code to buy this game 10% off
user 1 says ok [actually pays money] and gets the game added to their account... two laws have now been brocken but its Gog that allowed this and user 1 has NOT done anything illegal
