Magnitus: It depends. For me, in one recent case, addressing the devs directly resolved the issue.

I don't believe support has the direct means to fix such things. I think at best, they just relay the request to someone else (probably the game devs I'm guessing).
And you think the devs read the forum?

I'm a dev (in a diferent company obviously) and I don't touch anything which didn't go through support's hands first.
That's what they are here for.

I'm talking about the game developers. And yes, they are managing their game forums and their company's communication channels independently from GOG (they are a separate company so of course they would have their own channels separate from the stores).

If you are experiencing problems with bad installers a useful shortcut is to talk directly to the devs if they respond as I strongly suspect this is what GOG support has to do as well.

It is just more efficient for everyone involved that way.

Basically, you go from:

You -> GOG Support -> Game Dev

To:

You -> Game Dev

Just tried it. When you start it, a message appears "the setup files are damaged. Get a new copy of the program.".
