Aparently the legendary "wide niche" wargames creator John Tiller passed away fighting against a brain cancer he was suffering.
He was one of the individuals into Talonsoft Studios in 1995 and created games like East Front and West Front. Later around 1999 founded HPS Simulations and started the development of the long Panzer Camaigns Series of games, These and other series of titles based in the same engine were continued and evolved in its new site John Tiller Software.
Those games are iconic for veterans and grognards indeed. They are pure niche but popular enough for fans of the genre. because they are completely singular. Not much similar concept in the market, or so enduring in time.
What is beloved and respected are the radical historical accuracy and the purity to the tabletop wargame tradition and spirit.
