Why are those not on sale? Also, why was there no Black History Month game sale? If you wanna be supportive then do it right or dont do it at all, CDProject. Pandering doesnt matter to us, representation and real support does. Do better.

I dunno about that... if you really want to support black game developers or LGBT-themed games, the best way to do that is to pay for their games full price.

Putting it on a store-initiated group sale means "In this month of LGBT pride, for a limited time you can pay these LGBT developers' games for less than the usual asking price! You can appreciate their work for just $2 instead of $10 to show how much you care about LGBT issues!"

Now THAT's pandering.

If individual developers want to put their own games for sale for whatever reason, then I'm not judging them. I'm just saying, for us customers it's a paradox to demand for more support for X products, while at the same time we also demand for those X products to be put in the bargain bin.

I think businesses should be apolitical, but if they insist on making socio-politcal statements it should be more meaningful than just an awareness note, like donating some of the proceeds to a charity or something, ... otherwise what's really the point. A simple sale in itself would attract people to at least look more closely at these games, and indirectly at these issues (is their desired hope anyway).

Maybe they hope buyers will be proud to pay full price.

Personally, I think it's just a matter of "people-being-tired-of-constantly-being-preached-to", irrespective of intentions.
