Sarisio: That parents and their children have high chances to like entirely different game genres? Such "data" makes the whole research redundant.
In the same way that medical research is redundant because people are healthy most of the time? Or that the LGBT community should be completely ignored because the majority of people are straight?
Sarisio: And Doom has infinitely less than zero to do with gender, and it didn't have much violence (in comparison to our TV? ha, nowhere near close). I wouldn't say Doom was quite simple either.
At this point it's hard for me to tell if you're delusional or just a great troll. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
Anyway, one final thing, just because I wanted to make this comparison all along and never got to it:
If someone did research about Twilight and aimed it at teenage girls, I would see no point in arguing with that, even though I, a middle-ages guy, enjoyed the movies. The way I see it, teenage girls are a completely valid target audience for this project, and for the books/movies. Do you disagree?
