I disagree.
Giveawayoftheday has 2 (or 3) games per week, mostly (but not always) in the same days, and their archive isn't that useful.
It's hardly a problem to have 2 or 3 posts per week highlighting these titles, with a single sentence notifying genre / redeem type.
Then anyone can decide with a glance if the title interesting enough to venture into that site to obtain or not.
For me alone this saves 1-2 minutes per week, while keeping notified of rare occasional additional massive giveaway is underway.

I disagree as well. As shitty as those games usually are, and as repetitive as the announcements may seem (which are not really *that* much, as mentiones by BlackThorny above), they are EXACTLY the kind of post that are supposed to be expected and welcome in this thread. The rules in the OP are pretty explicit on this regard: only code dropping and game begging is gonna be frowned upon here.

Plus, it's not as if gixgox is clickbaiting anyone here with vauge posts and dubious links. Their posts clearly state those are the current "Game Giveaway of the Day". Whoever's not interested in those games, just skip those posts and move on.

That's a great straw poll, there. If someone says they have a problem with you posting about free games in a thread that was created for that specific purpose, I suggest ignoring them, as they're most likely a troll.

Adults can hold valid but opposing opinions, and it's time you grew up and realized that.

I can see that some people are fine with GGotD posts (and feel strongly enough about it to low rate my posts) and I'm not, so my solution to that is to accept that and step away from this thread and start getting my info from reddit or steamgifts or somewhere else.

I don't know if any of these is any good... even their sales page states "Only Starting the Game is worth playing.", so there's probably not too many masterpieces here, so buyer beware etc.

The purpose of this thread is informing about giveaways.
I don't see where is the problem with GotD to be honest. I'm not using it personally, but the same way I'm not using Uplay for that instance. There are gamers interested in GotD games for sure. Of course everyone can check daily himself anywhere on the web for giveaways, but why not informing others about them here? No matter if it is Uplay, PSN or whatever, as long as those are truly massive giveaways, not free games, for the clarification.

Sorry for asking but does this mean that games that are temporarily free (but after instalöling them they will still be added to the library to be played forever) are included or excluded? IN my understanding you want ti exclude games that are always available for free is this correct? (Just want to be sure that I understood this correctly).

On Steam should be available soon.
Easy way to add the episode to the Steam library with SteamCMD or Steam console The offer will expire on July 31st.
