What do you think are the chances of Max Payne being released on the GOG platform? Max Payne is easily in my top 5 good old games and i really wish we could get it here... Is there even any chance to make it happen? What are your thoughts about this?

Maybe, if all the necessary rights would revert back to Remedy - but as long as (pro-DRM) Rockstar holds them, chances are slim to none, unfortunately.

Just like the first two Just Cause games got released on gog so will Max Payne games come on gog.

You just have to wait another half a decade or so.

If GTA VI bombs it could shake the whole industry, and you can bet a GOG release wouldn't save Rockstar lol

Only a really high up suit taking a liking to GOG could maybe start the process of bringing some of their games here, and let's be real, that goes beyond wishful thinking

Since Max Payne 1+2 don't require any launcher DRM, a release could be possible, provided that their owner (Rockstar) signs a deal with GOG. As for Max Payne 3, I'm not that confident since Rockstar is very unwilling to drop their launcher requirement, even after a decade. In fact, it has only gotten worse as they clumsily shoehorned their launcher into the Definitive Edition of Grand Theft Auto, while removing the original versions from stores.

To be entirely fair, Rockstar's parent company Take-Two owns 2K and their games like Mafia are released here. Not that that means they'll put Rockstar's games on here.

Well, given the time, runaway scope, budget, and other factors within Rockstar North, I can't imagine a fast ROI, unless the game is a complete plague of aggressive microtransaction garbage.

After many years Just cause games came on gog. The third one is still yet to come here.

You just have to wait another half a decade or so. First two max payne games will come and then we have to wait another decade or so till MP 3 comes on gog.

Just Cause is 5 years younger then Max Payne.
So I don't get your logic at all.
Neither because of the age difference of the games, nor because different right holders.
