The thing with Heretic 2 and the Hexen 2 Expansion is that Microsoft is "technically" working on solving that unavailability problem right now. :P

That should also bring that 2009 Wolfenstein game back to the stores as well.






In case someone didn't catch it, Microsoft owns Bethesda and id Software and is trying to acquire Activison. As far as I know (and I could be wrong), these games are missing due to rights disputes between companies.

It's just that, if the acquisition goes through, the issue would be automatically solved as a byproduct of it.

If they would actually re-release the games after that, that's anyone's guess. *shrugs* But I surely hope so. :)

When the games are so easily revealed at GOG with a simple search using the word Heretic, one does wonder if this thread is just spam. Not to mention the Heretic & Hexen Collection is currently visible in the Discover Games section of the main page at GOG.

We'll just have to wait and see how this thread's creator, Zaksame, responds to all the posts here.

All these miracles Night Dive and GOG pull off with licensing sometimes... hope they can do Heretic 2 and Wolfenstein 2009 at some point.
