Crosmando: Yet more examples of GOG being behind the game on old games, when Steam gets these without even trying. But hey, at least we get IndieGameWithMinimalistArtstyle #198.
Are those true classics though? I was a big gamer kiddie back when those games were released, but I don't really recognize almost any of them. (I faintly recognize some of their names though, like "Annals of Rome").

And judging by the Steam introductions, those are mostly from the era where the PC/DOS versions of those games were much inferior to other versions, like on Amiga or even Commodore 64. Meaning super-ugly violet CGA graphics, no sound card support (BEEP BOOP BEEEEEEP!) etc.

Of those, only Blade Warrior seemed somewhat interesting. It is apparently from 1991 so the PC version at least supports VGA and possibly some sound cards.

Just because a game is old doesn't instantly make it a classic.

Like the hot fries?? Color me intrigued.
I already see a game on that list that would fit in this thread .

Yeah, the fries manufacturer licensed the name and image from the comic strips:

From that list I had Bombuzal on the Amiga (cover disk, issue 1 of Amiga Power) and that was a fun little game.
Blade Warrior I would want the Amiga version as the colours and lighting are far superior to the PC.

I love this game name: "Annals of Rome".
