You get to see that poeople here on GOG actually do play games, not just hang out in the forum.

That's why I disabled my profile. Now I can hang around in the forum all day without having everyone know that I barely play my games.

In fact, this forum is not that active, compared with other forums.
Maybe GOG users are busying playing games.

I still wish I didn't get a purple dot for the activity feed (every so often). Would love to check it on my own leisure, but then again all I see is people playing games and...the occasional forum thread. Not really much going on now, and without comments it'll be a while.

That is a fair point that is often overlooked: it only works one way. If the profile says they play games, then they play games. If their profiles doesn't say they play games... you know nothing about it.
