A fistful of vengeance.

GUN™, a gun-trotting action/adventure in the wild West, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

There is something about the Old West that keeps fascinating us. The dusty towns, the gold rush, the dames of questionable moral fiber, the bullet-ridden saloons, the twitchy duels, the tobacco-chewing villains - they blur the line between history and fantasy in a particularly alluring fashion.
GUN is about breathing in all these things as Colton White and also engaging in bounty-collection missions, poker matches, buffalo hunts, train robberies, horseback shootouts, and just about everything that an open-world adventure has to offer to a daring gunslinger such as yourself. Just remember that sometimes the stealthy, more cunning approach is preferable to direct violence, even against the lowlifes that have wronged you.

Enter the vast, opportunistic land of the Wild West and dish out justice with your GUN™ in hand, DRM-free on GOG.com.

F4LL0UT: In a universe where Red Dead Redemption was never released for PC and thus people are going crazy over the next best thing.
Ah, I think I saw trailers and gameplay of that and it looked cool, so maybe I should throw Gun on my wishlist I suppose.

Thanks. I think using paypal via VPN sounds like a very bad idea by itself.

It is only temporarely and it doesn#t always happen as far as I heard but still a nuisance since they want you to reset your security measures every time it happens.
On a more serious note, using these work-arounds to buy blocked games seems contra-productive in the long run. You're basically telling GOG ( or other distributors ) and the game publishers, that it's OK to handle the situation like this ( via regional blocking ), and they don't need to come up with a better solution, because they'll get your money either way.
Kind of funny... new game with an HD trailer that contains *interlaced* video... and it is 2016. I'm gonna have to give them the benefit of doubt in thinking they used interlacing on purpose to give the video a "retro" feel rather than making the assumption they're stupid and don't know how to use modern video technology in a sensible way. :)

The game is 11 years old.
Has anyone tried an Xbox 360 controller with Gun?
I wish I could delete my posts

To be fair, completely blocking a game in a region is rarely if ever the distributor's or publisher's fault and whoever is responsible for the game not being available in Germany probably doesn't actually give a flying fuck about its sales.

And I still don't understand how Gun out of all games is region locked.
Does anyone know what engine this game uses? Is it a completely in-house engine made from scratch?
Quite unfair to compare GUN to Red Dead Redemption when it was actually developed with the Xbox and PS2 in mind. The Xbox 360 version was an anomaly. However, if you compare it to Red Dead Revolver. It fairs a whole lot better. For the time, GUN was quite a good game and remember it fondly. This price however is quite steep. But that is not really GOG's fault.

I do would however be willing to pay $19.99 USD if GOG were able to fix-port MAFIA I as that game is pretty much impossible to play on a modern PC even if you happen to have the original PC Disc for it. That game is incredibly underrated. I personally think it is a jewel. I played it twice on my first Xbox, but was never able to play it in PC and I remember people saying it was twice as good.

Perhaps it's not their fault, per se, nor a desirable situation for them, but they're also not doing everything they could to provide customers with a better alternative. Some form of optional age verification system would be an improvement, as others have already suggested.

Besides, when people ( from Germany or elsewhere ) complain about these bans, the standard response is that their country's laws are the problem, and they should try to change those instead of complaining to GOG. But realistically, huge international companies such as Valve, or the various AAA publishers, have a much better chance of actually doing something about such antiquated laws. Individual gamers can't really do jack; but money, potential tax income etc. -- that's the kind of language any government understands.

( In fact, I firmly believe the growing popularity of video games, the greater target audience, and the way budgets and the income of the games industry have exploded during the last 10-15 years or so, are the main reason why German authorities nowadays are much more "tolerant" towards this form of entertainment. Most of these blocked/black-listed games are from a time when video gaming was still a niché subculture, and an easy target for politicians and media, so they could pretend they're "protecting the children" or whatever. While these days in Germany, you can freely buy completely uncensored versions of games such as Witcher 3 or the new DOOM etc., because it's a huge industry and the local distributors can't afford to miss out on all those sales, while German gamers simply import their game copies from the neighboring countries. )

Of course, GOG is cherry-picking German software distribution laws to begin with, while happily ignoring others.
