The pixel art looks great!
Deliberate monochrome. That's certainly a choice, and I suppose one I approve of.
Game looks kind of nice, but I'm feeling a bit petty today and want to crank about use of high-definition drawings to promote a deliberate low-resolution game. I'm not sure you're doing yourself favors there, either, because initiates land on the game page with wrong expectations.
Regarding the World Tour Bundle:
The following files give me an "404 - Not Found" paige:
A selection of chords and lyrics sheets
The Longest Road on Earth OST (MP3)
The Longest Road on Earth OST (WAV)

Edit: It's fixed. Thanks.

To be fair old Genesis and SNES games were guilty of the same sin as well. For example they hire high fantasy artists like Boris Vallejo and similar artists like him to draw box cover for pixelated games like Golden Axe 1 - 3 or old JRPG and WRPG.

I remember keep finding the ad for now classic hot elf in scantily clad blue dress for Everquest ad and cover and I thought the game will be like that. Oh how wrong I am.

Or how about the cover to Fire Emblem? Oh boy, I wonder what this looks like!

OH.
Absolutely fair point, I have similar memories for C64 and Amiga games. :)

I guess my expectance has changed because nowadays most promotional art is far more representative of actual graphics. At least, like, I feel that's true, I'm actually not even sure.
There was a demo just a couple of months ago and I didn't really care for it. The music is decent at times but not good enough to get the game just for that. The scenes don't have much context so I think the idea is that the viewer (it is pretty much a movie where you can stop for a while when you want to) can personally relate to the scenes in some way, but I just couldn't (or at least didn't, I could potentially see it depening on your mood at the time). I wonder if they didn't get as much positive feedback as they hoped and that is why the demo is no longer available.

I'm not sure what that is in support of. It is significantly closer in detail and style to the game than the promo art of this one's, so much so that I had to double-check it's a drawing, not edited ingame footage.

Anyway, I'm not even strongly opposed to any of it. I just saw the promo image, was intrigued by the style, went to see the game, was disappointed to find an entirely different one, and thought "I am no marketing professional but disappointment probably isn't the first impression I'd hope to make on potential customers".

Later addition: This is a mostly unfair objection. I've now paid more attention to this practice and have found it's rather common for lowres games to pick a drawing as cover image. I still think it's slightly misleading and somewhat unhelpful, but this game doesn't deserve to be picked out.
