While I 100% agree with that, I won't deny that Civ V was and still is a big success and a lot of players like it. The design decisions that were implemented just weren't for me.

However, Civ V was the first game in the franchise that went Steam-only (it was a controversial and divisive topic in the community, which finished with the usual argument "it's not the 90s anymore") and I would be surprised if that changed. Maybe they'll reconsider now that they are busy with Civ VI and another endless stream of subpar DLCs...

I think CIv IV is utter pants, so um... yeah. Civ V would be nice.

What about a SMAX remaster? The UI and outdated graphics are the only things against alpha centauri.

There is some legal problem regarding the owner of the IP rights to the game, so Firaxis can't make a new Alpha Centauri. :(

Caesar.: There is some legal problem regarding the owner of the IP rights to the game, so Firaxis can't make a new Alpha Centauri. :(
So sad, and I doubt we'll see anyone else do an unofficial remaster.

Yes they're close but still more of a Civ4 mod than a SMAX Remaster. (They look pretty good though)
