We know pretty much nothing about it except for the fact that it exists... but we can still predict whether or not it's going to suck!

Waddya think? Is it possible to develop a good sequel to SS2 nowadays, and do you think they've assembled a team that can do it? What are your fears/hopes about the game?
"You Done Fucked it Up!"
I think you should be more worried about whether it will be available on gog or not.

I am sure the game itself will be fine.

Can always get it off Steam, or Kingquin on the cheap.
Nothing to think yet.

The team which is going to work on the game seems reputable and consisting of original devs.
The publisher seems to publish good old games and buy copyrights for them.

But we don't know if they are planning to catch the market of the lowest common denominators (gamers born after 1994) or they are going to do the game old-school hard (read 1998/1999 mode Bioshock kids, but a bit more difficult). I hope the second variant. I don't need streamlining (which has destroyed Bethesda games after Morrowind for me), I need pointless difficulty, hard puzzles and a good story and atmosphere.

Maybe I'm overly pessimistic but I don't think it will appear on GOG for a long time.
After the trilogy is done. time for the movie!

That is my main concern.
The temptation is there to make something overly accessible and with too much focus on the fps experience.
I certainly hope they are targeting an older demographic and not the cursed tweens.

I personally don't really care, to be honest :P
Or it's gonna be like StarFox 2, excedengly awesome that will give also feature for future projects and like Star Wars games and Deus Ex, it's last will be noticeable during history, or will end like Duke Nukem Forever, it will sticks to it's premise, and people will dislike it FOR IT.
