I have a very cheap prepaid phone I use for these security measures. How anyone can think this option doesn't make you more secure is beyond me.

Other places *to this, too. Doesn't mean I'm going to suddenly use them more. The logic makes me want to laugh, but I'm tired... so f'ing tired.

Every business on the internets seems to be trying to gather as much personal information from their customers as they possibly can. To claim it's for your security is just a nice sales pitch. But even if they genuinely plan to keep it private, leaks happen all the time.
The fewer the sites that have information on me that I don't want everyone to have the more secure I feel.

This is going to attract hackers, not deter them.
Pheace: I have a very cheap prepaid phone I use for these security measures. How anyone can think this option doesn't make you more secure is beyond me. Either they didn't think of that or they simply don't want the hassle and / or expense for something they don't think they'll need.
But it is a good idea all the same.
