If my friends buy this game can i play with them. If i remember correctly this game had multiplayer from gamespy servers but gamespy shut down a few years ago. Anyone knows if i can play with friends thank you.

LAN should be fine, dedicated server should be fine, there are no official master servers anymore but some fan-made serverlists might be compatible (though unsupported).

I know this is an old topic but since it is on sale on GOG right now I decided to still reply since I was wondering the same.
I want to state that besides the obvious work arounds which let you play via virtual LAN there is a patch around on the internet to get the ingame server browser working again without gamespy.
All you need to do is to copy and paste engine.dll patch into the correct folder. A quick google search will help you out ;)!
