This would actually be great!
That picture of Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) in the news would get more rating if they would show it for 40 minutes. I hope i am wrong and it turns out to be a good one.

tort1234: This show is going to get cancelled even before it finishes its first season just like the remake of the tv show Bionic Woman.

Women in general are more into Britney Spears, gossip, Kardashians and other cosmopolitan crap rather than science fiction, monsters and non-sparkling vampires.
We'll see. I wonder who were the people who made Buffy the Vampire Slayer popular? Probably there were viewers from both genders, so sometimes it may work.

I know a female who was a big fan of the Alias show. Not sure what exactly in it made it interesting for her.

I'd personally just prefer that they'd make new shows for strong female characters (like the aforementioned Buffy and Alias), instead of turning old icons like Mad Max or Van Helsing into chick-flicks (yes I am exaggerating). It just feels a bit contrived, somewhat like "We'd better add a strong female lead this time, otherwise we will appear old-fashioned and Sarkeesian & co will wake up...".

Yeah, and men in general are more into sports, cars and porn. They should really stop producing all this escapist crap and concentrate on showing what you guys really want to see! :P

also, girls who are already into it, are already into it. Altering existing stuff to make it "more correct" might be perceived negative by those girls too. Like when deus ex invisible war 'simplified' its gameplay so it would appeal to a wider audience, and as a result wasn't liked by fans of the first, who believed it dumbed down to much, and neither was it liked by outsiders as they weren't into deus ex to begin with and were not appealed by a dumbed down deus ex either.

And you've nailed the success of the Fast & Furious franchise...
