Since I couldn't find a news post in regard to this freebie, I thought I create my own "thank you for the freebie!" - thread.

So - thank you for the freebie, GOG and Bedtime Digital Games.

Much appreciated.
I think they are having some issues with the news posts today, since there is also this sale which hasn't been announced.

Anyway, thanks for the free game, much appreciated!
Is Figment on GOG still missing updates?

It's aslo free on that other site. Maybe someone can grab it there and compare the versions?
Already have it here and other stores but thanks for the freebie!

ConsulCaesar: Is Figment on GOG still missing updates?
It hasn't been updated since 2019.

Edit: Just checked:
GOG has version 1.1.8
Epic has version 1.4
Indiegala has version 1.5 (had, they only sell the Steam version now, but I got it for free once)
Steam has version 1.6

The GOG version has a 32 bit unity crash handler, while the others have a 64 bit version (and probably also 64 Bit Unity Engine)

version 1.5 (update in 2020) had a couple of bug fixes

I have it there for like 4 years, but don't have it installed. After quick check, it had 2 updates recently (within a week or so), likely regarding SteamDeck compatibility checks. That would make it 7 patches ahead in total vs gog version, if we go by timestamps alone. I think 2 of them were just minor hotfixes though.
I think the best choice is the indiegala version.

I thought first the Steam version was DRM free, but it's not (although it might be easily cracked). By what I can tell, since 1.5 it got support for steamworks.

And itch has the same version as GOG.

It is.

Geralt_of_Rivia: It is.
Well, after deleting the Steam DLLs it would not start anymore.

Well, at least that sale is mentioned on the front page...under their "Now on Sale" segment:

Since the game was now updated to version 1.6 (the offline installer should be available soon), the GOG solution seems to be the best one again.

That's pretty awesome that it was updated to v1.6 on gog too and quite promptly after it was brought to dev's attention. I only wonder why it was left like this for so long though.

Anyway what do you mean by "the best one again"? Just because it doesn't have achievement support here makes it automatically better or something? I've heard that one before too.
